This tiny ceramic owl box is absolutely full of personality. The egg-shaped lid is modelled with large carved green wing-like eyes, an amber beak, sculpted green feet, and intricate painted details including golden scrollwork and a little red accent, all set against a glossy black ground with subtle green dot decoration. The base is a small oval bowl with a vivid red interior glaze that perfectly complements the dark exterior.
Together they form a delightful lidded trinket box, perfect for rings, small treasures, or simply as a characterful shelf object. The style, colour palette, and hand-modelled quality are consistent with Latin American folk pottery, likely Mexican, from the 1970s. No maker's mark is present.
