This little duck has a lot of personality for something so small. Hand-assembled from coconut shell, natural wood fiber, and raffia, it stands upright with rounded yellow feet, tiny wing shapes at its sides, and a raffia bundle tied across its back like a little harvest sheaf.
The beak is painted cream with a rosy flush, the eyes are small black beads, and the whole surface has the warm, textured quality of natural materials worked by hand.
This type of figurine is characteristic of Southeast Asian folk craft, most likely from Thailand or the Philippines, and dates to the 1980s or early 1990s. Lightweight and charming, it sits happily on a shelf, windowsill, or as part of a natural or boho-style vignette.
