A beautiful pair of vintage green glass apothecary jars made in Belgium, both complete with their original rounded bubble stoppers. The jars are pressed in a rich, vivid emerald green glass and have that classic satisfying weight and presence that makes Belgian glass of this era so collectible. Each stopper fits snugly into the jar opening with a secure seal.
The larger jar features two bands of ornate gold-printed decoration around the mid-section, a repeating scrollwork and floral border motif that gives it an elegant, almost Victorian apothecary character. The smaller jar is plain, showing the clean lines of the form without decoration.
Both jars are moulded with a slightly ridged shoulder and a smooth cylindrical body, and both bases carry the embossed mark "Container Made in Belgium."
These jars are wonderful for display on a windowsill, kitchen shelf, or bathroom counter, where the green glass catches the light beautifully. They also work well as actual storage jars for dry goods, tea, spices, or small items.
Both are in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or damage. Please zoom in on all photos to assess closely.
