This charming ceramic Easter bunny figurine was handmade in Poland by Wiza, one of the well-known producers of traditional Boleslawiec stoneware from the Bunzlauer region. Dating from the 1980s, the rabbit sits upright holding a decorated Easter egg, both covered in the classic peacock eye pattern, deep cobalt blue circles with cream centers on a rich blue ground.
The peacock eye is one of the most iconic and sought-after Boleslawiec patterns, and this little figure captures it beautifully with hand-painted detail all around, including the back and the base of the egg. A wonderful piece for Easter decorating, or as a year-round display piece for fans of Polish pottery and folk art.
The bottom is marked HAND-MADE, WIZA, POLAND, with model number 15.
