This striking candleholder is a little sculpture in its own right. Two asymmetric forged iron legs sweep outward from a central point, creating a dynamic, almost architectural silhouette that looks different from every angle.
The separate turned metal cup sits on top, fitted with a small spike for securing a candle, and shows beautiful concentric turning marks that contrast with the raw, heavily textured surface of the iron base.
The combination of brutalist forged iron and the refined turned cup is typical of Scandinavian or German studio metalwork from the 1960s. No maker's mark is present, but the quality of the forging and the design language are consistent with that tradition. It works beautifully with a sphere candle, as shown in the photos, but accommodates any standard pillar or ball candle.
