This beautifully crafted stoneware advent candle holder makes a serene and elegant centrepiece for the Christmas table. The elongated oval tray holds four individual candle sockets, all in a lovely speckled sage and olive green reactive glaze that shifts subtly between matte and glossy tones across the surface.
The generous tray shape makes it easy to decorate around the candles with greenery, berries, cinnamon sticks or stars, as shown in the atmospheric inspiration image.
The piece is solidly made and has a satisfying weight to it.
The unglazed base reveals warm stoneware clay. No maker's mark is visible. The style and glaze quality are consistent with contemporary artisan ceramics or a Scandinavian inspired design line from the 1990 onwards.
