A striking mid century wall plate featuring a vivid raised cityscape that clearly depicts Moscow with its iconic domed skyline, inspired by St. Basil’s Cathedral. The colorful towers and houses stand out beautifully against the glossy black background, framed by a softly textured brown rim. Numbered 7661 on the back with original hanging holes and wire. Maker unknown, sometimes attributed to Majolika Karlsruhe, not marked.
Condition is excellent. Ready to hang and full of mid-century charm. The plate is made of hand-glazed ceramic and likely originates from West Germany or a neighboring region during the mid-century era. It measures approximately 40 cm (15.7 in) in diameter and 3 cm (1.2 in) in depth, with a total weight of 2200 g (4.85 lbs). I pack with care and plenty of cushioning so it arrives safely.
