This charming mid century Black Forest wooden diorama is hand carved from a natural tree bark section and features a delicate miniature forest scene with a deer, tiny trees and detailed woodland elements. Each piece was individually carved and arranged by hand, which makes every diorama unique. These bark carvings were traditionally made in the Black Forest region and they remain popular among collectors of alpine and rustic European folk art. The front is carved into a deep natural cavity that reveals layers of woodland texture, and the trees show finely cut branches typical for classic Black Forest craftsmanship.
