These bold little vases by Ilkra are pure 1970s West German fat lava at its most eye-catching. The body is glazed in vivid orange, with thick green lava glaze pooling and dripping down from the neck in dramatic, irregular rivulets.
Each vase has its own unique drip pattern — no two are exactly alike, as is always the case with this technique. The interior is glazed in warm amber-brown. The base is marked 1028/10 or (orange) on both pieces.
This listing offers the choice of a single vase or both together (send me a message for a discountcode if you'd like them both).
Please note that Vase A has a small chip on the upper rim, which is reflected in the lower price for that option. Vase B is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
