Meet this absolutely delightful ceramic piggy bank by Kirsch Keramik, West Germany — a large, plump beauty hand painted with lush florals in pink, blue, and olive green, all on a warm white glaze.
The expressive face with its furrowed brow and painted details gives this pig a personality all its own, and the original small metal key is still attached with its cord around the ear — a rare find.
The bottom is stamped Kirsch Keramik with model number 3460, and the coin slot sits neatly on top of the back. A lockable plug on the underside keeps your savings safe.
This is a serious decorative piece as much as a functional one — large, substantial, and full of character.
It has 2 little chips, you can see them if you zoom in on photo 7. But you'll have to look real good ;)
