Round, cheerful and just a little bit smug, this ceramic fish knows exactly how charming it is.
This sculptural fish money bank comes from a private collection originally assembled on Malta and brought to a small shop in Konstanz, Germany.
The body is a plump rounded disc shape, glazed in steel blue with an olive green scaled belly rendered in relief. The fins, tail and facial details are all modelled in the clay, with dark navy accents in the grooves. Two green rimmed eyes give the fish a wonderfully alert expression. The coin slot sits discreetly on the side, and the opening for emptying sits on the base. A stopper is included.
It displays beautifully from multiple angles, front, side and three-quarter view alike.
The fish measures approximately 13.5 cm long, 11 cm tall and 7 cm wide (5.3 × 4.3 × 2.8 inches) and weighs 220 g.

Deutsche Zusammenfassung:
