This set of four hand carved wooden napkin rings will bring a warm, sculptural touch to any table setting. Each ring is carved in the shape of a stylised elephant with an upturned trunk, a beautifully smooth arched body, and small accent tusks in what appears to be bone or composite material.
The carving style is bold and abstract, somewhere between folk art and modernist sculpture, with each elephant having its own subtle character while remaining consistent as a set.
The wood has a warm honey brown tone with a smooth, slightly worn finish that speaks to their age and use. As handmade pieces, there are small natural variations between the four, which only adds to their charm.
These work beautifully as napkin rings at a dinner table, but also make lovely small decorative objects on a shelf or windowsill.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. No cracks or breaks. Small natural variations between pieces are part of the handmade character.
