This is a Ny-Form troll, model 062, made in Norway.
Ny-Form trolls are among the most collectible of all Scandinavian troll figurines, known for their extraordinarily detailed facial expressions, glass eyes and real fur hair.
This fellow is a fisherman troll, wearing a yellow sou‘wester hat and holding a large silvery fish proudly in both hands.
His grin shows a couple of stubby teeth, his nose is impressively long from the side, and his wild dark fur hair frames a face of pure self-satisfied delight. The fish is beautifully detailed with moulded scales and fins. It would make a wonderful gift for someone who likes to fish :)
The base carries the original Ny-Form label reading "Original Norwegian Design Since 1961, Handmade."
The troll measures approximately 11 cm tall, 8 cm wide and 8 cm deep (4.3 × 3.1 × 3.1 inches) and weighs 141 g.
