A delightful set of three handmade Polish folk art dolls, crafted from natural sisal or hemp fiber with painted wooden heads. Each figure is constructed in the traditional Polish craft style: the natural tan fiber is bundled, shaped, and bound with red ribbon and decorative woven braid trim to form the characteristic voluminous skirts, sleeves, and bodices of Polish folk costume.
The largest figure is the mother, a standing woman in a full bell-shaped skirt with three horizontal decorative ribbon bands in white with red floral embroidery. She has a painted wooden head with blue eyes, rosy cheeks and a braided fiber bonnet.
The medium figure is the girl, a young woman with loose fiber hair wearing a full folk dress with green and red braid trim. She carries a small woven basket in one hand and holds a small bundle in the other.
The smallest figure is the boy, dressed in a short jacket and gathered trousers tied at the ankle, with short fiber hair and a braided cap. He carries a small linen bag on his back.
The mother has a wooden base with an original paper label reading "Gorstwo Państwowe" (Polish State Enterprise), confirming this as an authentic PRL-era folk craft piece. All three figures are in good vintage condition. Please zoom in on the photos for a close look.
