Details
This cheerful set of three nesting mixing bowls is made from white milk glass by Schott Mainz, West Germany, and dates to the 1970s. The bold repeating border pattern features stylized folk flowers in red, orange and green, reminiscent of traditional European folk art motifs, printed brightly against the crisp white opaline glass body. The three bowls nest neatly inside each other for storage, and the set is as practical as it is decorative. Schott Mainz Jenaer Glas was the West German equivalent of Pyrex, producing robust, heat-resistant glass products that were built to last and are still very usable today. This particular pattern has a wonderful 1970s energy that fits beautifully into a farmhouse, retro, or folk-inspired kitchen. All three bowls are in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Please zoom in on the photos for a close look. The moulded mark on the base reads: Schott Mainz, Jenaer Glas, model 1-8-3342. Dimensions (approx.): Large bowl: 20 cm diameter, 9 cm high (7.9 x 3.5 inches) Medium bowl: 17 cm diameter, 7.5 cm high (6.7 x 3 inches) Small bowl: 14 cm diameter, 6 cm high (5.5 x 2.4 inches) Total weight: 1436 g If you're outside the EU, please message me for shipping costs.
