A complete set of six vintage Spiegelau tumblers from the "Allrounder Happy-Time" line, still in their original cardboard box. These chunky footed glasses are a wonderful example of 1970s West German glassware design, featuring an all-over textured surface with bold abstract relief motifs in the spirit of the space age and brutalist design movement of the era in the style of Finnish designer Nanny Still.
Each glass is made from clear crystal and sits on a solid stepped foot.
The body is covered with a pebbled texture and geometric relief patterns that differ subtly on each panel, giving the glasses an almost archaeological quality. The acid-etched Spiegelau crown mark is visible on the base of each glass, confirming their authenticity.
The set is in very good vintage condition, with the kind of honest age you would expect from glasses that have been stored rather than used.
The original box, though worn, is a lovely bonus for collectors and adds to the charm of this find.
A great set for everyday use or display, and a perfect gift for fans of 1970s design, West German glass, or brutalist aesthetics.
