Two charming round doilies or coasters, each printed with a dancing couple in traditional Alpine folk costume, Tracht, surrounded by a delicate cream lacework border. The figures are rendered in a fine cross-stitch style print on a woven linen-look ground, capturing every detail of the regional dress: full skirts, embroidered aprons, waistcoats, buckled shoes, and plumed hats.
The two pieces are a complementary pair: one on a cream ground with the motif printed in dusty rose-red, the other on a cream ground with the motif in slate blue. Each also has a reverse colorway, where the figures appear as a pale silhouette against the colored ground. The lace trim is the same on both, fine and crisply scalloped.
These little textiles carry the spirit of the Alpine region, Austria and southern Germany, where Tracht traditions were celebrated in everyday domestic objects throughout the mid-20th century. They would have been used as decorative doilies, glass coasters, or small table mats, and are equally lovely framed or displayed as folk art.
No label or maker's mark present.

Zwei runde Deckchen mit Trachtenpaarmotiv im Kreuzstich-Druckstil auf gewebtem Leinengrund, eingefasst mit einer zarten Cremespitze. Ein Deckchen in Rosé-Rot, das andere in Schieferblau, jeweils auch mit umgekehrtem Farbmotiv auf der Rückseite. Typisches mitteleuropäisches Volkskunstobjekt aus den 1960er Jahren.
