This substantial vintage statement necklace features large oval shell cabochons set in silver tone bezels, connected by a rolo chain with accents of baroque freshwater pearls, round mother of pearl cabochons and triangular shell pieces. The shells show rich warm banding in amber, honey and caramel brown, each one slightly different from the next. The central element drops into a pendant with a rectangular baroque pearl bar above a large teardrop shell stone, giving the whole piece a beautifully layered, organic feel.
The photos show both the front and the natural iridescent white of the shell interior on the reverse, so you can appreciate the full depth and beauty of the material. The clasp is a lobster claw with an extender chain for adjustable length.
The total length is approximately 55 cm (21.7 inches), laid out in a circle of approximately 28 cm diameter from clasp to bottom of pendant. The stones are approximately 14 mm thick. The necklace weighs 102 g, giving it a satisfying, substantial presence when worn.
