A satisfying and very well-made set of four nesting stoneware bowls in the "Heike" series, produced by VEB Steingutwerk Torgau in East Germany during the 1970s. Each bowl is finished in a rich amber and chestnut brown glaze that shifts warmly between tones across the surface.
The most distinctive detail is the decorative relief band running around the base of each bowl, formed from repeating teardrop or leaf-shaped motifs that catch the glaze beautifully. The interiors are a smooth, deep honey brown.
The four bowls nest neatly inside each other and are individually numbered on the base: Heike 2, 3, 4 and 5, each stamped with the characteristic GDR mark and the Torgau logo.
This series is a well-loved piece of East German everyday design, appreciated today for its quality, warmth, and the honest craftsmanship typical of the DDR ceramics tradition.

Dieses schöne Set aus vier nestbaren Steinzeugschüsseln der Serie "Heike" wurde in den 1970er Jahren im VEB Steingutwerk Torgau in der DDR hergestellt. Die warme Bernstein- und Kastanienbraune Glasur sowie der charakteristische Reliefdekor am Sockel machen diese Schüsseln zu einem zeitlosen Stück ostdeutscher Alltagskeramik. Alle vier Schüsseln sind in sehr gutem Vintage-Zustand und tragen die originale DDR-Stempelung mit Nummerierung Heike 2 bis 5.
